15% is not a whole number. It is .15 which is pretty close to 1/6. If you are paying tax you can bet that you will pay $1.43 for the tax which is a total of $10.93--another reason why math is so important--so you don't get overcharged.

and just multiply 9.50*.15 to get the answer

$10.925 which would round up to
