I have some MP3 clips on my old computer - no removable storage capabilities or CD burning. My onyl option is to load them on the net. What happened was that when I send it with WINZIP, it took 12 hrs... and still reached no were. The file size in total of 188 clips is 890MB. What program can I use to make it compressed to a much smaller size - thus being able to send over the internet for storage until I get to a computer with burning capabilities? Thanks.

There is a limit to the amount you can compress. I've heard good things about using http://www.yousendit.com/ to send large file sizes, though.

mp3 files - and many other internet optimized file formats like jpg - are per se compressed. The compression rate you might achieve will not shrink the file(s) significantly.
In worst case, your compressed file will be even bigger cause of the overhead of the archive itself.

Register for Filelodge at http://filelodge.bolt.com/ and then, althought it would be a pain, upload them 5 to 10 at a time, until you reach the 500 megs limit. Then, simply make a new account with false info and a different email.
If you only have one email, then go to http://www.emailaddresses.com/email_web.htm to find another free one.

you can download a program to re-encode the mp3 files into a lower quality, thus lower size. Adobe Encore or LAME should do it.

MP3 files are already compressed...you probably will have to send them in more than one file batch.

You can't. I'd recommend getting a big USB thumb drive.
