Because it's offense to people that an abortion kills a baby and it's annoying to people that people have abortions because they're too frickin lazy to use birth control.

Why the debate, first abortion is a choice of the mother of an unborn embryo,, not one man should open his mouth to offer an opinion, do you hear the fathers of these embryos? if our government passed a law that every male had to keep up with and be responsible for all of his own sperm, this debate would stop cold! An embryo has a mother and a father, and yet, the mothers are always held responsible; when the fathers of unborn babies start being responsible, then abortion would be open to debate. Paternity testing, hopefully will soon have the research available to determine the identity of fathers of embryos; I can't help but wonder if the issue of abortion would drop like a hot potato if men, fathers were held responsible for abortions. It takes two.
If women have to make all the decisions and have all the responsibility for life and death decisions, then a woman should definitely be the next president, perhaps men could be given positions in government with less responsibility.

in my opinion..there is only one condition in which there can be abortion and that is rape you're not responsible for conceiving the baby or it can be the girl's choice..but otherwise..we can't take a life god has given to an innocent creature just because in our point of view he came in the wrong time.

Some people believe that they are better suited to make major life decisions for a person than that person is. It's pointless, really. If you think abortion is murder then just don't have one.

My guess is because of their religious beliefs oppose abortions.
Of course that doesn't stop 'pro-lifers' from getting abortions.
If you don't support abortion rights, then don't have one.
