The Earth has had several near misses with demise. An astraroid hit the Yucatan and killed the dinosaures. 95% of the indivual animals died in the months that followed. A few hearty species survied.

There are several other well known mass extinctions in the distant past. Mars was once a living planet. Things change and evolve - not always for the better. Best not to fret too much and live in the Now.

The earth does not, in fact, contain an exhaust pipe. The "exhaust", if you will, simply dissipates mostly into the atmosphere and partially into space. This "exhaust", depending on your choice of definition, may include heat radiating from the Earth's core, which also dissipates, or rather radiates, out through the mantle and crust and into the atmosphere and beyond.

As for when the "exhaust will means finished"[sic], that's just plain silly and uncomprehensible.
