A marriage Contract is a good idea if a lot of Assets are involved. If you don't want to lose your shirt if the marriage fails, you make the contract who gets what before getting married.

This is cold and harsh, but too many people are in marriage only for the money. Look at the trouble Paul McCartney is having... But, also, a Contract of this nature can kill a marriage before the wedding occurs. It can be the ultimate break-up tool.

If you are regular folk with very little assets, a marriage contract is only a formality if either of you believe you will become successful at any time after the marriage, and want to protect those "future" assets. But, for the most part, the average married couple never need to worry about this because they stay til the end.

No marriage contract is good. Love has no limits to what it can and will not do. Yes, required daily funnel cakes is a good thing.

You could draw a contract up, but it might be difficult to enforce. Instead of depending on your spouse, try hiring your local bakery or carnival to deliver funnel cake to your house daily, like the milk man did back in the 1950s.

Nahhh......You of all people knows how icky it is to "answer" to a bunch of rules and guidelines. Sure you can ask for a mandatory daily funnel cake. But just realize that she'll ask for sex in return. Are you willing to make this sacrifice? I'd seriously think about this first.

A marriage contracts shows that you have no faith in the marriage from the beginning. I don't think most people would want to marry someone who is thinking about the marriage going wrong before the vows are even read. I think this idea is offensive.

It's a great idea. Even a romantic hippie liberal like me sees the value in them. Daily funnel cake is more unreasonable than putting up with daily sex (with you).

No, marriage makes both people lazy about pleasing each other and makes them take each other for granted. Maybe it should have to be renewed every 3 months or be null and void.
