Is Rap music friend or Foe??

The other day i was listening to three 6 mafia a Cd i bought a long time ago and i could hear the evilness in the music . One of my family menbers has a theroy that the devil created certain types of music to get peolpe to follow him like heavy metal but he could not get everyone to listen to that so he created Rap music which is horrible people die everyday trying to live these rap videoes and i think it's needs to be stopped. But now that rap has hit the main stream it will be harder to save young black men and women from falling through the cracks of society due to a reality that is not threre. I just hope i can save my little brother before i lose him forever. What should i do??

Sorry to say but, Rap is a foe.
why?
Beacause through out history, music has been part of the worlds culture. We listen to the messages through music, and interprete them into our brains. this is made without a concious effort. Children today listen to what their favorite rao stars are doing and saying and take this as "this is what i have to do to become famouse". Let's face it.. rap (most) rap discriminates against gays, women, bkack and whites as well as jews and others as well.
The reason we may find 9 yr olds running around with baby t's and hooker boots is because they interpreted this fron their music, or what they see on T.V
Rap also sends out messages on violence. About who" 50 cent is gonna kill this ***** and rape this *****." Its all negitive, and it does get processed into your brain weather you want it to or not. Weather your blasting it while driving in a car, or have it down real low over dinner time. Infact: when you keep music down low, it gets processed into the mind easier. This is a tactic used by shoprite a while back, they had music down so faintly, and in the music it unconciously told costermors to "buy more." And i does work.
Don't get me wrong.... I personaly listen to rap myself. Love eminem and 2pac. But the music is infact even dangerous.
For example, a 12 year old girl listens to rap. A lyric used in a song is "wait to you see my dick." Now lets say That 12 year old goes out into the street and starts to sing it, and with all the sick freaks out there, they here that and they think "oh she wants it". Its a sad reality but true. And the worst part of it all is that; the 12 year old doesnt really understand what she is really saying and doesn't realize how the music is effecting her as well.
Music puts people in moods. Rap can make ,women espesialy, feel insecure about themselves. How they look or even how to be treated by men. With guys on the other hand. Rap gives them the message of beating, cheating, and leaving women. Do you think thats friend or foe?

i dont think the whole thing about heavy metal music or rap music is the devil's music....there are many heavy metal bands that are christian bands that have helped to turn many people towards god...or believing...as for rap music....theres nothing wrong with it....its mostly for entertainment purposes...theyre just a collection of what the artist has gone through...sometimes it just so happens that the artist has been through a lot of "bad" things...whatever you may consider bad. saying that...theyre are also many christian rappers...you just have to be smart enough to understand that music is mostly for entertainment. if your brother is smart enough he will learn to understand that
