Can someone help make my internet not disonnest me every five minutes on World of Warcraft?

I had the exact same issue when I started playing WoW. However, I soon found out that it wasn't because of WoW that I was dissconnecting, it was because of my connection itself. Now, there are multiple reasons why this could be happening.

One, could be that you just have a bad connection, so try turning your modem, on then off and see if that works.

Two, the cable connecting your phone jack to your modem or your modem to your computer could be too long, try to keep it rather short.

Or Three, you could have a faulty modem. This is what happened to me, my advice is to call whoever your internet provider is and describe to them the problem. If it is the modem, they should replace it.

It doesn't sound like a firewall issue at all. An improperly configured firewall will keep you out all together, not at intermitten rates.

Does this seem to happen with just WoW or does it happen on the internet also? Be sure to check for driver updates for both your modem and your WoW software. There may also be a damaged registry entry that is causing this. Contacting Blizzard may be the best suggestion unless you can provide more details on here.

I had the same problems. You probably have a port issue. you should start in WOW connection support.

Are you on a firewall? Perhaps you need to open a port to get it to work properly.
