my husband had a friend in college that he talked about and to a lot. he lied about her all the time and wouldnt even admit that he had a crush on her or anything. she's kind of short, blonde, foreign, and really thin. i caught him in so many lies that its hard for me to beleive him when he says he hasnt talked to her.
is he lying just so i wont get upset that he's talking to her or is he lying because he likes her and doesnt know what to do?
i'm 28 - we've been married for almost 4 years, and have been together for 11 years.

It could be a little of both. Does it really matter why he's lying ? He's lying.....end of story. If he knows it bothers you for him to have this friend then he should have been willing to stop talking with her. Can a guy have a friend ? Yeah I guess he can but if you cant be friends with her too then its a problem.

Yes a guy can have a girl friend. You said it all . You've been together for 11 years, if he didn't want to be with you, if have have choosen her, but he didn't. Unless you have more proof, I would relax and see what happens. I know it's hard to trust someone who has lied to you, but marriage is of trust, so give a go. I wish you the best.

Only if he's already slept with her. If he has, the thrill of the chase is gone. If guys want friends, they'll hang out with other guys.
If a guy has a friend who is a girl and he says he doesn't want to sleep with her...he's lying.

First of all, a guy can have a friend who is a woman. If he does though, he doesn't have to lie about it. If he's lying though, that sucks.
