I had the guts one time to do that. They felt awkward around me afterwards. I wouldn't reccomend it unless they were your best friends or something, because even if it's a popular thing to have extra marital sex, it's still has it's consequences, and they are in for it now~!

I think the best thing to say is congratulations. I am in this situation right now (I'm the pregnant one) and the last thing we want to hear is laughing or apologies. Even if it's an accident, if the relationship is strong then all good things (a wedding) will come with time

Thats wonderful news..Really no-one has a right to judge them just because they got pregnant out of wedlock..
We have friends who are not married and just had their first baby..Thats all they got asked..When are you getting married..I think it made her feel as though she wasnt as "good" and that she was looked down upon...Come on, we dont live in the 60's,70's no more..Its freedom people..

"Congratulations, and don't worry about the ignorant people who will give you a hard time because of their religious bigotry. Just ignore them and be happy for yourselves! Having a baby is truly a life changing event, so be positive and it will be positive. "

Say, "Congratulations". Most of us start out as "accidents" anyway. You don't say, "I'm sorry" until they ask you to babysit. ;0)
