He hasn't been the best person either so I am not sure if he deserves the courtesy of me being nice and open about it.

I am sorry that you no longer want to get married, I just got married last month and it really feels right, but that is for me, not everyone is ready, and with saying that I believe the best way is to just tell them face to face, because if you wait til you get to the altar and leave them hanging it will show that you are not considerate of others feeling, especially the feelings of the person you were planning to spend the rest of your life with.
Just remember one thing: What if the shoe was on the other foot? How would you want to be told such a painful thing?
Whatever you do decide to do, just remember that, "What goes around, comes around" Treat that person like a person with feelings, and just may be you two will be able to remain friends if you do the right thing.
Good Luck, I hope it all turns out okay for you both.

Just tell him that you've made a huge mistake and that you no longer feel that he is the right person for you - nothing more! Call off the wedding NOW and get on with your life. Good luck!

Tell them that Trust, Honesty, Respect, Caring, Sharing, Appreciation, A genuine heart , A intelligent Mind, Genuine friendship, and unconditional Love are the values that mean the most to you and that they do not give you these things anymore.

why would you even wait until this piont? you should have done it awhile ago. well the only thing you can do is be honest and tell her / him the truth. if you marry this person then you are making the biggest mistake of your life. you are going to be miserable and hate life if you keep this relationship going.leave now and dont get married or you willl have divorce on your back.

Tell him the number of year (ie after 1 or 2 year of time) and not to fix the date of marriage.

You just tell him/her how you feel and that you no longer want to be together. This is a big thing you are breaking off, so being honest will be appreciated. Just be forward and to the point, but make sure to be tactful and also a bit sensitive.

Just be honest with your fiance. If you feel this way and go thru with the marriage anyway you will be unhappy and maybe end up divorcing later. Just be honest now and avoid the hurt and possible costly divorce later.
