If a home or apartment is advertised as having 1 and 1/4 baths, what does that mean?

A bathroom that only has a sink and toilet. it does not have a place for a shower or bathtub.
It usually the bathroom that your guest will use when they come over to your house.

a 1/4 bath is usually a closet with either only a toilet or only a sink.

probably just enough room to sit in and close the door to do your business may not even have a sink if so its really little. its a hard place for bigger people to get in and out of.

so a full bathroom is toilet sink and shower/bathtub
