There is a new show debuting on the network named "Winfall". What I can tell a group of friends go in together to purchase lottery tickets(as is common around here), and they hit a monsterously huge jackpot. Where they each have a cut worth at least tens of millions of dollars. Everytime a big cash pay is talked about, there is someone in the group always say "you won't be happy with money like that", or "I would not wantto be that rich" I am no fool. I know money can not buy happiness. But reading questions here, it is apparent happieness is ellusive to most even if not rich. So since you are more likely not to be happy anyhow, why not be unhappy in a home fully paid for, watching your 60 in plasma TV with surround sound, having gotten there by you fully paid Italian sports car? Is it that people who say they would not want money like that simply trying to make themselves feel better because they know they most likely will ever see that type of money?

that's how i feel. i can be unhappy and broke or unhappy and rich so why not take the latter. i can go shopping and make myself feel better for a few if i got money. haha. or heck, maybe i could even figure out how to do postitive things with my money and find true happiness!

People who aren't responsible enough to handle that kind of money and don't hire someone to assist with their personal finances, typically say these things. They end up broke and can't understand why people won't leave them alone after they've made a very public appearance as a jackpot winner.

winning money is great..managing it is teachable..but its when greed sets in..not only the possesor of the large funds..but those who wish to take a slice of it home..is where the problem arises.
