even when i take all the skrews out i still can't seem to get it open. is there a button of some sort and if so where?

HP laptops, to open them there is one secret!!! Behind the display screen, there is two outer lashes and two inner lashes, take a fine knife or something with a sharp surface and ply the to inner ones appart, but, before this take out the top role of skrews out... and then you will have access to the motherboard. Be careful, make sure it the inner ones to ply...

they all have different latches and catches and hidden screws, best bet is to go to compaq support and download teh service manual for it
