I ask the same question every time I read the newspaper. The Mexican people were here centuries before the Europeans came to America, yet we white people act like our Mexican neighbors are criminals. I have never seen so much hatred expressed in letters to the editor. Great people of history such as Buddha and Jesus had simple "rules" for living--smile, love one another. God bless you, and, oh, one more thing--if you believe in prayer, I have learned that if we pray for those who are mean and horrible, even though we really don't like them, sometimes they will get a little better with time.

If we could all get along it would be heaven on earth, than again journalists wouldn't have much to report on the evening news. I am making light of your heartfelt question, but there may not be a real good answer.
