i need help!! y does my computer say i have no recorder when i try to burn a CD?

I use to be able to copy a cd, but now i can'y even do that. So please how can i get my computoer to burn CD's.

you may only have a cd-rom. you can only play these not record to them. for that you need cd-r or cd-rw
