r.b.c is Red Blood Cell.Red blood cells perform the most important blood duty. A single drop of blood contains millions of red blood cells which are constantly traveling through your body delivering oxygen and removing waste. If they weren't, your body would slowly die.

rbc has 2 products in it, heme which is iron and globin which is a protein which binds with the iron and makes hemoglobin. Globin carries the iron so it acts like a carrier. RBC are disc shaped cells and i think they have a life span of 21 days, after 21 days (if iam not mistaken) they r replaced by new rbc by RES(reticuloendothelial system), They provide viscosity to blood.

the blood contains formed elements and plasma- the formed elements are red blood cells-erythrocytes, platelets, and white blood cells- leukocytes. The white blood cells are the only true cells in the blood tissue they are classified in two groups granulocytes and agranulocytes. the granulocytes include Basinophils, Eosinophils, and Neutrophils. -- the agranulocytes are Monocytes and Lymphocytes.... in order from most abundant in the blood the luekocytes are:
