well i am not sure, i really hope that he is not having a sexual relationship with Melissa that he misses cuz she's not there. depending on how old u r, if ur above the age of 16 then just confront him and ask him what's going on or why he wishes Melissa was there and why he doesn't give a $hit about ur accomplishments.

its like my grandmom she loves us but as we got older she stop calling or talking to except for holidays the only reason she dos not want to see us is because we are getting older and she feels old . I know its stupid but ,i see my dad only once in a while and he talks about the same thing that he wishes my brothers and sisters were there.

Well, I guess maybe he was just hurt that your sister didn't come with you. Did she make an excuse to not go? Maybe you should ask her about that if she did. But if she just honestly could not go, then you should just ignore your dad's behavior. Parents who don't see their children very much really like to have what time with them that they can. Just don't let it hurt your feelings. God Bless You!

Have a talk with your dad. Explain to him that you think he spends too much time concerned about your sister and not you. If she's not there, that's something he has to talk to her about, but you came to spend time with him, so it's about time he started giving you some attention.

He might just really miss her but needs to appreciate your company because soon you will be gone. Just tell him how you feel in a sad way and then make him treat you to ice cream.

Tell him that you understand and have the same wish, but also wish that he could get past it so that the two of you could have a good time. Good luck.

He probly connects with her on another level. or she reminds him of your mom. Hope that helped. Talk to him about it cuz i know i'd be really mad if i got my permit and he didnt take any notice.
