I recently discovered that my boyfriend of 2 years has been habitually lying to me about basically everything - from the small stuff, to the big stuff. I ended things on Sunday but he refuses to accept responsibility for his actions and the subsequent fall out. Has also been bad mouthing me to friends and family. What do I do?

You've already done the smartest thing you can do - you ended it. You can't control his bad mouthing so don't even try. Just let it go - if he knows it's upsetting you the odds are that he's going to do it 10x more.
If people you know approach you with the lies he has been telling then set them straight. It's their choice who they are going to believe - it's not your responsibility to make them believe you. Just work on you right now and worry about you - don't let all this crap he is starting get to you. He is the one with the problem and is just trying to make problems.

Don't worry about what others think. You know the real reason why you both broke up, and if he lies so much I'm sure his friends and family know about it. Just move on a meet a guy who respects you enough not to lie.

What should you do? Absolutely nothing. His actions will catch up with him without your having waste another moment of your time on him.

Ignore what he' saying. It's what you know and the rest doesn't matter.

Consider yourself lucky that you dumped this loser, and get on with your life.
