There are a lot of links to sites about scar removal at this site:
http://best-scar-removal-sites.com/eflp.php?pid=41791&D=140024&C=37429&domain=best-scar-removal-sites.com&V=9105&K=scar+removal&K2=

Some of the methods listed are laser removal, dermabrasion (taking off a layer of skin), creams, and plastic surgery.

Good reading and good luck!

Scars can be removed by having an operation- a cosmetic one- so it could cost you quite a bit. Any of these fad creams are unlikely to work i'm afraid, especially as the scar is fairly old now, all they do is moisturise the scar.

Curad (they make band-aids) and Neosporin have GREAT pads that stick on like band-aids that you can use; Curad's is called Curad Scar Therapy. They're about $20 a box, but they work great! I've got a scar on my knee that's awful, but after 2 or 3 rounds of using those patches, you can barely see it anymore.

mine usually fade with time, but I think mederma works. I just get impatient and stop use before it's finished the course, so it hasn't worked for me.
