Use your diaphram instead of your "shoulders" to breathe. When you inhale, your stomach should expand as you're filling with air. Your shoulders should NOT move. When you exhale, control the amount of air you release in a slow steady stream, so it's not gone in 1 or 2 seconds. Go ahead and add your voice to the air. You should feel a big difference in the power you have. The harder you push (contract the muscle) your diaphram, the louder you'll get.

If you want to know a very good vocal coach try to visit https://tr.im/SQpub an online vocal coaching tutorial. Everything, ranging from breathing fundamentals, vocalizing exercises, techniques on singing high and low notes, how to not go off-key/out of tune/off-sync, musicianship and music theory, proper diction and articulation, and a lot more are covered, all in our native language. It can be quite technical in nature, but it really helps since it covers the musical aspect of singing deeply and not just concentrates on how to impress people with your vocal range, riffs and runs and other cliches that do not necessarily make one a complete vocalist.

It's hard to explain. Use your diaphragm instead of your throat. Take a deap breath and belt it out. Practice by yourself to feel comfortable...then start by singing in front of an audience you are comfortable with (parents, friends, other family). Then you can go on in front of bigger crowds. I had the same problem...but now I'm the loudest singer in my section!

slightly lean forward, roll your shoulders back, breath deply and make sure you not to hold in your stomach, tilt your head back slightly and think of an O.. try to make your lips form an O. Imgain your self yarning as you sing a song... You can also try laying flat on the floor, place a book on your tummy, poke your tummy out and breath with out making the book move.....

The strongest point of singing is remembering to breathe correctly. If you are properly breathing, it will sound kind of soft. Also imagine you are singing in a resturant, everyone is talking at the top of their lungs, waiters are dropping plates and silverware. And the people in the back are straining to hear you. You have to be heard over the noise for the people in the back to hear every word you are singing. Don't hold your voice in... project it.
