Why do so many people post questions on this site without making any attempt to spell them correctly?

The all time great that I have seen was some idiot who wanted to learn "raping". I only hope he/she meant "rapping"!

Sorry if I offended anyone. Did not mean to come over as intolerant, it just seems that so many questions are so badly put together and in some cases can have totally different meanings.

hansen - I'm not implying that everyone is an idiot for making spelling mistakes, but to miss one as glaringly obvious as "raping" rather than "rapping" is pretty poor. As Madamcitron says some questions are so badly put together it is almost impossible to sort out what they mean

Now look Derby lad, you may come from a great footballing town but I do not think that you are being fair on some people. A lot of people here use English as a second language. English can be difficult to learn to speak and write. As such, mistakes are inevitable and even a spell-check cannot help some people.

Oh, and some people are just plain thick.

I've said this before as this question comes up. Sometimes I make boo boos as I am at work and typing fast (and I can type and spell just fine) but ya know....sh>>> happens. ANOTHER real big issue is there are a LOT of people on here from many other countries and they are doing the best they can with the "English" - so if you look at it that way, you may be a tad impressed instead. The only other issue is there are a bunch of kids on here too. "School ain't wat it usd to bee" - LOL

just be more tolerant.....
if we want to play this game and have fun in yahoo answers , we must be aware we have no idea what kind of people we are playing with.
perhaps, some didn't have enough education, and the check spelling is useless therefore.
perhaps some are just in a hurry to gain as many points as they can, that don't worry about spelling correctly.
perhaps some are from other countries and english is not their first languages.
perhaps others are just like me, who refuse to use capital letters since i don't consider this is formal writing.
what ever the reasons are, if we want to just have fun in yahoo answers,,,we shouldn't worry too much about it.
grammar is a delicious dish....but some people just pass.

Some put their fingers into gear before switching on the brain.
Others I suspect are too young to have learned grammar and spelling. Others are more interested in points and speed.

A good chunk of them are likely 12, another good chunk are likely stupid. Look at a large quantity of the questions, some are related to furthering the askers own fetish, others are also sex related, some have been asked dozens of times minutes earlier, and yeah..... you have to lower your expectations of quality when coming on here.
