Did humans create marriage or is it a natural thing? What is the meaning of it if i keep hearing of people cheating. What's the point of living your whole life with one person, isn't it boring? I know that women are more likely to want to marry and settle down than men, but why do men agree to get married and regret it later on?

God created marriage---and it should be between a man and a woman..
Living your life with a person that you love is not boring---there are ups and downs but it is not boring.
Some men do regret getting married and thats bad---I on the other hand have been married for 20 years and would not change it for the world--Lords only knows how difficult it is to find a mate this day and age. I believe that God put in all man kind an inner drive to be with someone----that is our nature---we are needy creatures. we need to be loved and we want to love...

Well, not all men regret it. That doesn't mean it isn't hard work. I think it's really important to respect marriage today. True, people cheat, but that is their weakness, and their choice. Marriages take effort, and commitment, and compromise. It seems like these days people bail out at the first sign of trouble, because it is easy.
Humans did create 'marriage', of course, but we are not the only species to stay together as a couple. Many other animal species stay with one mate. I think it is a very natural thing to want a companion for life, and getting married is a lovely way to make that a permanent arrangement. I don't believe people should stay in unhappy marriages. If all else has failed, then divorce is necessary, of course, but committing adultery is, I think, is a real cop-out.

Humans created marriage. Marriage was created to help build a more sturdy environment for children. Being married to the same person does not have to be boring ... just like being friends with someone for many years does not have to be boring.
Both men and women can grow to really love marriage or both could grow to hate each other.
The problem with marriage is that it does not allow for people to grow and change. One person is getting new interests and the other is not interested.....so a wall is formed.

Men do not realize what a commitment, Marriage really is and they are not ready for the "forever" factor. they want to live their life as they wish and when married it is a group effort and you make decisions together as you plan your future and it is too much stress on some men.

...and for the record women regret marriage as well, don't think you have the lock down on that sugar... living years and years with the same burping, scratching, farting, cheeto's eating, sports center watching, nascar hooting, toilet seat leaving up, non laundry basket finding, non direction asking, forgetful, porn watching man isn't exactly fun either.

marriage is an institution. Let me repeat......an institution !!!! Back in the day when the life expectancy wan't but 35-40 years old (like before modern medicine etc) it worked.
