I've been told that 8hrs is sufficient. Is this right or wrong?

8 hours is recommended, but it really depends on each person. Some people can function properly with 5-6 hours and some can not. You should try sleeping less than 8 hours and see how much sleep you need.

That is correct, however, i have known males to function well with 6-7 hours if need be

it depends what you do in life,i would sure like to get 8hrs a day ,but usually i get 5hrs that would be the average.

yes its right, but then not for all. You check ur self out, u will know whats best for you. Listen to all and most important ur body.

8 hrs is the least u should get. more will definitely help though.
