It's called the "Help Wanted" section of your local paper. Worst case you might have to walk into a lot of places and ask if they are "hiring." They might ask you to fill out an "application."
It sucks but that's why it's called "work"
After you try it for awhile you might want to go back to "school" and then "college" so you can get a job you like.

Newspaper delivery, Babysitting, Yard Work such as mowing, raking leaves, pruning, shoveling in the winter. Dog walking, Errand gopher....getting quick things for the handicap or elderly such as getting milk from the store or doing laundry for them, reading to the blind or reading for books on tape, volunteer work, work on a farm to help pitch hay, clean stalls, etc.
I have hired kids about that age to mow my yard and shovel my drive way. Not because I don't want to but because they are out looking for a job and it shows they are responsible. My neighbor called me asking if she can babysit. I said yes and because of her assertivness I pay her $8 an hour for 5 kids and she loves it. Go out there and do something!

try the job center at your high school. If you're at least 16 they hire you more quickly, depending on your attitude and maturity. Try the teen job fairs too. Either that or volunteer to get the experience.

I used to babysit for money when I was that age . It's a great way to get a little work during the summer. Post an ad in your local paper.

Supermarkets, local bakeries, some school districts hire teens in the summer to cut grass, paint classrooms, etc. There's also fast food places, they always hire teens.
