I hate people who talk **** about myspace.com
I'm on there, and I have had no problem whatsoever.
Yes, the media plays up the hype. . .A LOT. . .another innocent 14 year old girl is having sex with a 50 year old man. . .and all these sex preditors are lurking out there. . .
It's true, the internet is full of perverts, but guess what? So is REAL LIFE!
Would you walk up to a random stranger and tell them your birthdate, full name, address, phone number and directions to your house?
NO! So what make you think doing it over the internet is any safer? In fact, its MORE dangerous since its all in type and can easily be passed on to others. So the media blames the old perverted men for looking for these children, well, I blame the parents of the children for 1) not raising them right with COMMON SENSE and 2) for not monitoring the internet.
If you lack common sense, then yes, myspace.com, or hell, even Yahoo Answers is NOT a good website for you to go on.
However if you can keep personal information what it is, personal, then go online, talk to people without giving vital information out and you'll have a blast.

i don't think so, but there are an awful lot of bad people on that site...but c'mon, what site DOESN'T have sex predators and all that bad stuff on it? NO sites are completely protected anymore. I like that site, but I disagree with the guy that said something about having to be 18 or older. I am only 15 and signed up for that site. I don't have any problems or anything.
*lol* just kidding * internet, not enternet.... *lol*

I don't know about the enternet.. but it's just fine on the internet. Just don't agree to meet anyone in person from the site.

From what I've seen at My Space, the software allows you to restrict access to a defined friend's list if you desire to do so. Its your choice to make the page public. Still, I wouldn't publish anything on the Internet that a potential employer or friend might find objectionable.

MySpace is good if your aim is to talk to friends and stuff. If you talk to people you don't know it isn't good. You have to be careful not to put any real information about where you live and other stuff.

Not really, as long as you are VERY careful as not to put which school you go to, you're full name, address, phone number... blah blah. As long as you are careful, you will be ok.

not as long as you're not stupid about it...realize that anyone can look at your profile and that people lie. if you use to to keep in touch with your friends that you already have then it's fine.
