Well, usually a resume lists your employment history, and since you don't have that, you could create a basic resume to sell yourself (so to speak) and list your skills, academic achievements and awards, clubs, etc. But, most places will just want you to fill out a general employment application. Still good practice and a way to see your own strengths and weaknesses! Good Luck!

No!

I already tried that. I could have sworn 5 of the 6 people thought I was an idiot. I never got hired from my "high school resume". They just don't trust that you have enough experience. Hang out a lot at the store. Ask employees questions. Go in when manager is in and introduce yourself. You don't have to dress business, just make sure you look presentable. Tell her you have a lot of time during the summer, you need work experience and you would like to work at this store particularly. 8 hours a week is better than no hours a week. Try to get an answer in the store. You might even try "so should I come in on monday? I wear a size medium shirt." She'll simply tell you that she isn't hiring right now if she's not interested. Other than that smile and act excited to finally meet the manager of your favorite store. On your way out buy something at the register (candy?) Don't be disappointed if it doesn't work out. Managers have their own reasons, it may be that business is slow, or the last time she hired someone with no experience, she got somebody with no experience and doesn't want it to happen again. Call or show up a week or two later to see if they have anything.

my advice would be to always have a resume ready for any job!! that shows the employer that you are prepared and serious about the job. put any and all info that shows what kind of skills you can bring to the job. I've gone on interviews for one kind of job and then after they read my resume was offered an even better position with better pay. always dress as though you were going to work in an office for the interview. I've done interviewing and that is the first thing that is taken into consideration. then always be positive in your responses. smile. try very hard to stay away from negative. for example; if they ask you what you would do if your supervisor asked you to perform a task that you didn't agree with or didn't understand why it had to be done your response should be that you would do the task and then ask the supervisor at a later more appropriate time to please explain the reasons behind the request. they like to hear that there will be no problems and that the task will be carried out.

good luck and stay positive. that will get you far in the career world.

You more than likely wont need a resume at your age. Usually jobs that really requests resumes are ones that also require a college degree. But, just in case, you could talk to a guidance counselor or a teacher at your school for help on how to make one. You do not have any work experience to put on resume so you would have to emphasize any volunteer work, organizations you may be involved with, and education that you may have now. Microsoft word even has templates for resumes and all you would have to do is fill in your information.

I don't think you need a resume at this point. Not many employers expect you to be 15 years old with 5 years of experience. If you really feel the need to put something out there, compile a short list of your acadamic accomplishments including extra curricular activites. Note any awards you've received (honor rolls, that kind of thing). What this does is it gives employers a look at how dedicated you are to success. Good luck.

You probably don't need a resume yet since this is your first job but make sure you keep good records of the names of superviosors, addressed, phone numbers and references for your future resumes particularly after you graduate.

the point of getting a job as a teen is that later in life like when you're applying to college or getting a fulltime job, you'll have something to put on that resume. Just let them know that you'll do the best you can and are willing to learn.

at 15 your first job should be at a retail store or fast food place. I don't think that there are many places that hire 15 yr olds. most places you have to be 16.
