we all do that, sweetie. it's a girl-thing. it's kind of like purging all the bad feelings we bottle up and ignore - sometimes when you get your feelings hurt or get mad, do you just choke it down? I bet you feel better after a good cry, I always do.
but, if you're taking the pill, certain ones can make it worse than others, so you might want to talk to your dr about it. if you're not on it yet, keep this in mind if/when you decide to try them.

Unfortunately, as women we do cry more often, for various reasons. Most of the time its ok. But, if you experience this more often than not, you may be depressed. I agree with some of the other answers; exercising and getting a hobby helps immensely!! You meet new people and just feel good about yourself. Good luck. But, don't worry noting is wrong with you, we all experience sadness.

there's probably something lurking in the subconcious that you've blocked out that causes you to start crying for no reason. Maybe psychotherapy can help dig into that. One more thing, don't see a Psychiatrist, they don't care about the issue, they just care about pumping you full of medication. A Psychologist won't do that.

Sweety you are depressed...it is a weird thing...just because you are depressed does not mean you have to be sad all the time. You might want to seek out someone to talk to. Try counseling BEFORE you let them give you meds...there are counselors out there that do not require meds...sometimes you just need help figuring out what is wrong and then how to fix it...good luck.

If this is ongoing (for months or longer) see a psychiatrist for it. You may have depression. If it is only lately, maybe youre stressed out or something else. Talk to someone you trust and cry on their shoulder. Maybe thats all you need.

Go get some exercise. It will help seriously. Try jogging. Exercise helps to elevate the seratonin levels in your brain. It may be that they are low.

You can help yourself by adopting some good hobby. In my view you expect too-much from others specially from your near & dears and when these are nont fulfilled, you feel depressed; one more thing that you also dont want to expres your expectation to them you wish that they must feel or gues it.
