it means that either the igniter bar is bad, probably just broken. this part works by means of that when high current (120v) is passed through it, the material it is made of lets of a slight sparking means, kind of like a sparkler you use on the 4th of july, the gas passes over it and ignites a fire drying your clothes. so first off check to make sure your igniter is fully assembled and not broken or cracked. if nothing is visible then take an OHMS check with an ohm meter. if thats not the problem then itd most likely be the thermostat which will be mounted atop the housing of where the igniter is.

Thermostat is usually the problem with mine. Easy to change if you have the repair book and it shows where it is located The last one I purchased for my Kenmore was about $16.00.
If the gas does not light, it could also be the igniter, which is also easy to change..

Try checking to see if the pilot stays lit., If so, is the electric igniter triggering the flame to be released into the burner?
