I think your question have a typo. There are three variables and I am not sure which one are you trying to solve for.

I am assuming you mean q(x) = sqrt(-1). If so, then this is a constant function equal to the imaginary number 'i'.

isolate the x. what you do to one side of the equals sign, you have to do to the other.
