I've been doing this since I bought my computer, but 3 weeks ago I got an alert for spyware/ adwareinfection, and I haven't got the money to buy a good antyspyware to clean it (out of work). Since then, everytime I turn on my PC I see the picture and after a few seconds it dissappears & the screen turns blue. Is there anyway to fix this, or should I wait to buy the anty spyware?
Should I be using my computer at all?

Even if you bought the spyware, you may still need to get the virus removed.

Have it cleaned of the virus first in a computer shop. Don't use it unless it's virus-free already. Then ,next time, prepare for such incidents by using antivirus at the very start

you shoud just hit any key and the screen will return back to the main picture you have on the desktop. thats as your screensaver so every couple minutes you may see the blue screen then. you can fix it under desktop support features and reduce the amount of time in the screen saver flash.

The way antispy programs work is they target and eliminate OR block the virus before it reaches ur hard drive. If it's already there, you need to get it fixed by a comp repairman.

first get AVG free from www.grisoft.com
run the updater and do a complete scan.

next get spybot search&destroy from www.download.com
install that with the 'teatimer' option enabled, update, full scan

thats what i use for spyware/virus protection and ive been free of both for about a year.

oh my god. i had that same thing. it kept getting worse and worse and there was no way to fix it. it wouldnt let the internet work at all after a while, and loading anything would take years. you;re better off leaving it alone, or taking it to one of those computer doctor places.

Ya I had that happen to me once and honestly my computer is all messed up now. So I really can't help you.

Probably you are going to have to completely re-boot your computer. Sucks I know.

just go to www.hitmanpro.com download, install and run it. when your computer will be clean again, go to www.zonelabs.com and download free version or by latest version(recommended:) also from lavasof.com free version of ad-aware personal SE edition.
I use zone alarm security suite and bitdefender 8 pro. But they aren't free:)

WELL I HAVE NEVER EVER HAD THIS PROBLEM.
THIS SEEMS TO BE A SMALL VIRUS TRYING TO GET IN FROM WHERE EVER YOUR PULLING YOUR PICTURES UP AT.
YOU SHOULD ONLY PULL PICTURES UP FROM YOUR OWN DOCUMENTS OR PICTURES. IF YOU ARE PULLING UP PICTURES FROM WEB SITES OR EMAILS YOU COULD BE PULLING ANYTHING UP FROM WHERE EVER.
THOSE SPYS CAN ATTACH TO ANYTHING. BEST NOT TO GAMBLE.
BUT DONT THROW OUT THE BABY WITH THE BATH. LEARN TO CONTROL.

from much used in a computer's i would say that you should not be using it until you get the money to get a new antispyware.
