Babe Ruth had 10 inside the park homeruns. Many parks back then had very very expansive outfields, unlike today. If Ruth were to smash one over an outfielders head, the ball would roll quite a long ways and allow him to round the bases

Actually the year Babe Ruth hit his famed 60 home runs he hit 2 inside the park home runs. Not sure about Hank Arron but the parks were more inclosed and smaller when he was playing.

Ruth was in much better condition as a player than he is given credit for. The only reason people think that he was always fat and out of shape is because the majority of films that are shown of him were taken late in his career... there's not a lot of footage shown of him from the 1920s, just about everything we see today is from the 1930s. Even less footage exists of Ruth from the 19-teens, but he was faster than people think he was... he stole 123 bases in his career, and was probably the most aggressive base runner of the 1920s (in terms of always trying to take the extra base).
It's impossible to play 2,500 games at that level without being in fantastic condition.

confident a number of, the main suitable typical having been 17 october 1989 while there became a significant earthquake in California for the period of a "international sequence" baseball game. Had it no longer occured my brother woulda been on Nightline with Ted Koppel afterwards.

From a die hard Yankee Fan, I honestly don't know. Ruth, may have had one...even if he was drunk all the time (as some of you like to think)...doesn't really matter...he was the GREATEST ball player EVER!!
It would something to look up on the net.

Highly unlikely even though it was a long time ago they were both still in the pros. Maybe in previous leagues, but not in the pros.
