IPod is the better of the two because if you get a 30GB ipod you can put 75 hours of video, 25000 photos, and it holds 7500 songs.

Most people don't realize that iPods are MP3 players, they have just become very popular. ANY digital music player on the market will do pretty much the same thing - play music, the difference is in the formats that they will play. iPods work with iTunes and will also play standard MP3s. They will not play any subscription service tunes or WMA protected format songs. iPod has a reputation for being easy to use and having great sound quality and as a huge fan of iPod I can tell you it is true. If this is your first venture into digital music, get an iPod and enjoy!

I like MP3's because they play music just as well as an IPod and they are cheaper. The only difference is and IPod plays games and shows pictures

Well think about it. Who needs anymore than 120 songs?? I got a sandisk 512 MB mp3 player and its great. Ipods are a waste of money.

There are many people who worship their ipods and those (like me) who hate them with a passion. I have a Sony NW-A3000 20gig mp3 player. The software isn't as good as itunes but they are still improving it and I find it great now. It all depends on what you want to spend and how often you'll use it.

MP3 is better if you don't get a crappy 5 buck one. IPOD batteries die after you use it a lot and you have to buy a whole new one. Waste of money if you as me.

Ipods warranties are excellent.
Ipods are very stylish.
If you get anything else, people will say what the hell is that!?
If you get an Ipod, people will say, Is that the new Ipod!?
