There are too many factors involved for this to have a clear-cut yes or no answer. It can range from no discomfort at all, to a lot of pain, but it all depends on the people, the feelings surrounding it, physiological factors. If you want to do it because you are sexually aroused, it's less likely to hurt than if you're just doing it because you're tired of being a virgin.

not sure how old u are... guessing ur a girl.if ur under twenty though, wait ...at least till ur done college. u know i did it because i wanted to...no pressure. i had had pressure but i didnt give into it cause i figured people were making more of a deal of it that it really was...and i was right. sex can be great with the right person or a big headache with the wrong person. advice...if ur married then chances are it's the right person so it'll be great.
also sometimes guys dont know how to approach virgins which makes it worse...u dont have to go through with it all the way on ur first go. if it's too uncomfortable...just give it a rest. also...he should start off small...that way u'll probably not even feel any pain when the big things come along;)

Well, just tell your guy to go slow.
My first time was actually with his fingers (popping the cherry that is). It was a little uncomfortable but it was only with like 1 finger. Doing that for a few weeks we progressed to 2 fingers, then three and then we finally actually had intercourse. By then I was already use to the pressure of his fingers so his penis didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would. Having something that big go inside a place that has never felt pressure will hurt bad but if a little pressure is applied at a time over a few weeks or so, it doesn't hurt bad.
One reason why my guy was willing to this was because the first time he and his last gf had sex, it was horrible and painfull to them both so he wanted to take it slow with me.
If he isn't willing to take it slow and do whatever u want to do - to calm ur nerves or cease the pain - he isn't right for you. Yeah, it is scary the first time, the first few times actually, but once the intial shock is over with, you'll be begging for more (if he's good and knows what he's doing that is)...
Good luck...

Well, it would help to know how old you are?
If your between the ages of 12-16, i'd say, hold off, you won't miss out on anything except alot of talk with other girlfriends., older than that?, wait until you meet that special guy, that you really have feelings for. Or may even think you love...
The first time does hurt.

If you are scared, then you should probably wait. For girls, a lot of the sexual joy comes from emotions, so if you are scared it will hurt a lot more than not.
Don't just have sex to have sex. At least make sure it is with someone special, someone you trust, someone you are in a relationship with.
Don't have sex just because your friends want you to. Don't have sex just because your guy wants you to. When you have sex, do it because You want to.
I'm not going to lecture you about when you should and should not have sex. But I want to make one point: If you do not want to have sex, don't. Your friends will respect you for it. Mine respected me lot, and it didn't cause a chasm in our relationship. I chose to say no. The guys that I dated, the ones that really cared about me not only respected that, but admired it. The ones that wanted to use me for sex didn't stick around and I was better off.
Sex is too special to just share it with anyone. If you do it right, you can really enjoy it, but it is a physcial, emotional and spiritual act, so you have to be ready and comfortable on all levels. I hope you have great sex. I want for you to be able to experience great sex. But you're not going to get to that point by having sex when you're scared.

If your scared your not ready wait... when the time is right it wll happen all by itself... and it will be wonderful... even if it is a lil akward... and if all your friends are telling you it hurts the first time i hope its not the fact that "all of your friends have done it" that is making you want to do it... take it from me when your older and you waited for love and it to feel right.... they will be jealous that they gave it away so willingly so young to someone who they had mediocre feelings for... me and my friends went through this one already!!!
