The real job of a teacher is to teach students how to teach themselves. A teacher is only a guide and it seems that all too often they are pinned with problems that are not their fault.

I am of the school of thought that believes children should be introduced to evolution. I also think that children should be introduced to the fact that some people believe in certain things and others don't. In the end, we should all research things we may be at odds with and formulate our own decisions.

No the teachers are giving you a second option in determining where we come from, either you believe in the evolution of humans from primates or from God, either way. Whichever one you believe one, the teacher is only giving you another option to think about and ponder, in no way is either solution scientifically proven. So its all about what you want to believe in, even though there is SOME evidence that we evolved from primates. So to be final, no i dont think your teachers are doing you a disfavor.
