Do you really want Dick "shoot em in the face" Cheney to rule in his place?

Actually, it is gasoline taxes that account for the lions share of gasoline prices. Those taxes were all put in by democrats as a plan to "influence americans to drive less". During the Clinton years, gas taxes exploded. One issue of John Kerry's was he was adamant about increasing current gas taxes another 50 cents a gallon, at least with stepwise increases after that. Al Gore succeeded in dramatically increasing these taxes while he was in office and wants to increase them far more if he gets elected. These taxes represent far more than the entire profit oil companies make on gasoline.

Bush is guilty however. He is guilty of not following the republican agenda and dismantling these taxes.

The irony of this is delicious. You are basically criticising Bush for not acting like a republican. Perhaps you should investigate the conservative agenda more thoroughly. You will probably find it much more matches up with your values and where you think the country should be heading than the liberal agenda.

Actually, you should investigate the liberal agenda more thoroughly. Once you discover where these people are REALLY coming from and what their goals and more importantly their behavior represents, you will most likely abandon them forever. I know I did. I used to be a party line democrat. Now, I'm an ultra-conservative.

Why does this question shop getting asked? Impeachment is a potential of offender prosecution. President Bush has no longer commited against the regulation -- for this reason there may well be no impeachment. I comprehend which you're against the conflict. maximum likey you have been poisoined by utilising the media. easily that our president has taken us to a conflict that became already being waged against us earlier we arrived on the conflict floor. we won't be able to enable radical Islam attack us on our very own soil returned. this may well be a conflict we are waging to guard our very way of existence

And exactly what is "he" doing, Congress passes all the laws, he can't do a thing, except try and get congress to pass these laws.

and gas prices are what they are because of the cost of oil, it is a market situation. and an evoirnmental one. Thank God Kennedy is not in power, they would not be able to produce oil with all the restrictions the liberals would put on them,

The congress requires oil to be only drilled in certain areas, refined a certain way, and can not use the same gas in all areas but EPA requires various types of gas in various parts of country, thus making it less efficenet

We can't drill off shore in most places or in Alaska, now china is going to be buying more and more oil each year, time to get rid of alot of the liberal restraints and you will see lower prices.

No. If there's one thing they are good at, its CYA (cover your a**). We'll probably never know the full extent of what this administration has done/is doing. Plus the thought of listening to Dick Cheney giving a State of the Union address makes me shiver. At least you can laugh at Dubbya's stupid expressions and lack of wit.

However, I wouldn't mind seeing him in a court tribunal for war crimes (i.e. torture at Abu Ghraib, Gitmo).

And BTW, as much as Dubbya invokes a strange streak of anger from me, he really does not have much to do with the price of oil set by OPEC. However, as far as the tax cuts given to the big oil conglomerates, well yes, his pocket is definitely getting fatter by our excessive oil consumption.

Since the president has no control over the price of commodities, perhaps you can elucidate the exact nature of this alleged 'hell' this country is supposedly going to?

That is a good idea. Mr Bush should immediately be impeached and send for exile. Because he drive the country (United States) into doom and gainless wars.

I must have forgotten that the president sets the price of a barrel of oil. Some of you people on this forum are so ignorant.

Hmmmmmmm...No!! He's only got 2 and one half years left. Impeachment takes at least two years. Not worth it.
