makeup should match the person's skin tone, hair color and eye color. Eye lip and cheek color should always match the person while also complimenting their outfit. If you don't look good in a coral color, wearing a coral outfit won't make their makeup look any better on them.

Why do people wear makeup that doesn't match their outfits? Well makeup is supposed to match the person's skin tone, eye color and hair color, not their clothes. It's also a matter of taste and personal style. I've noticed that the best-dressed people, people who are recognized on the International Best Dressed Lists,do not have garish colors in their makeup palettes. The aim in makeup is to enhance and polish the entire look, not compete with the clothes.

Why do folks use words like "dat" and "dey" in sentences? These aren't words and everyone knows it. Perhaps if such people used actual words, they'd get a better response.

Duhhhh...because you're not suppose to match your damn outfit. It's kind of country. Makeup is suppose to complement your skin tone. Unless you are somewhat of a professional makeup artist no one should try to match their outfits. Unprofessionals do not know how to be subtle with makeup. They just end up looking like MiMi off Drew Carey.

because i didnt think it was supposed to be like that except on some occasions. what if you want to go "natural" and wear natural looking eyeshadow with a bright orange shirt? (which i hope no one really wears by the way). it wouldnt be right with an ugly colored shirt and then match the eyeshadow to look just as hideous

Maybe I don't understand your question. I wear makeup that blends in with my skin. I would never think of wearing a navy blue foundation to match my jeans, or lime green lip gloss to match my top.

Because if you wear one color head to toe, in your clothes, on your face, EVERYWHERE you look like a complete fool. It's best to wear make up that compliments your features and skin tone, NOT what you are wearing. Say you are wearing a hot pink dress... are you gonna wear pink eye make-up-pink lipstick, etc. NO! You'll look like a retarded Barbie doll!
