After my laptop has been running about 2 hours a message always pops up. "services.exe-application error" then it says the memory could not be "read". if i press ok or cancel it then says system shut down in 1min, then the laptop always restarts.I have changed the memory, and it still continues to do this. If anyone knows what the problem could be please help me out and tell me how to fix it. thanks

The best way is to do install Xp again and one benefit of this is that your computer also is going to run faster.

There is a broken portion of your windows kernel, the core peice of software that runs your operating system. The file MIGHT be repariable, if you are a pro, but if not, the only way to fix this is reinstalling the OS.

You have a POST Virus, and need to flash your BIOS in order to get rid of it, or it may be as simple as "BASTER"
