It is, in one respect, logically consistent to do so. The special olymics is about inclusiveness, and yet they exclude people, so it does make some sense to sue.

I happen to be an ACTUAL psychologist, and I have read the other responses to your question. So tediously repetitive; they actually think that their insults that you are mentally and/or psychologically handicapped are at all clever. Such libellous behavior that they have demonstrated to you is motivated by the desire to establish their social dominance, which they felt was challenged by the cleverness and insight of your question. I therefore hereby diagnose all of such libellers with narcissistic personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder.

NO!! the special olympics are for people with special needs if you dont need special attention because of a disorder than you shouldnt participate! And please dont sue them because that orginization is a really good cause. Let them do what they do and participate in orginizations made for you.

Just by reading your question, I think you ARE special! LOL!

Seriously, in America, you can sue anyone for anything. I'd say your chances of actually winning are quite slim. Then again, I would have said the same about the lawsuit where some ignorant lady spilled hot coffee in her lap while driving and sued McDonalds over it.

Who says you're not special? Based on this question alone, I'd say that you qualify.

Go and try out for the Special Olympics. You might just be surprised by your abilities.

If you aren't good enough for the Olympics, there's nothing wrong with you.

If you aren't bad enough for the Special Olympics, there's nothing wrong with you.

But because you asked such an idiotic question, the scenario that applies for you is that you are not good enough for the Special Olympics, and therefore, you should be shot. Huzzah.

That's the whole point of the "Special" Olympics. It is for those "Special" people with special dissabilities. If you are blessed enough to have no dissabilities, then you should go just to support those less fortunate.

Hmmmm....good question.
On a legal standpoint, I am sure you could sue for discrimination, but I don't know what the outcome would be. Probably a big media thing.
On a moral standpoint, it wouldn't be fair for you to compete against those that are no competition for you.

Totally!

While you're at it, could you sue the AACF for discrimination? The NACCP? The KKK? The Boy Scouts?

Fact is, if it is a private organization, they are well within their rights to exclude you.
