I appreciate all the answers but is there a way i can e-mail you an excel page so you can see what i mean because nothing seems to be working

Hightlight the cells. Then click Format -> cells. Select the Paterns tab and click on 'No color'

On the top right of the tool bar, the same place where you can delete the borders there is an option to place regular borders or bold borders or partial borders. Just click on the corresponding picture.

choose cells you want to have border around.
click the following buttons in this order:
format.
cells
border
click "none" OR "Outline" And/OR "inside"

you can also add color to your border.

i hope this helps you.....Excel is a Great spreadsheet program and is easily incorporated into other microsoft programs like word, powerpoint, etc......

Are you referring to the gridlines? If so, go to file, page set up, and on the "sheet" tab, check the button for gridlines.

go to file, then page set-up, click on the the sheet tab, and check the print gridlines option, then click ok.

Honey go to TOOLS, then select options and make sure you have grindlines checked. That should fix it for you.
