Everyone fits into some type of stereotype and some people actually like this. Why? I mean I get so tired of being labled a 'nerd' just because of how I dress. Or I get labled gay just because i don't want to date or I wear pants and my hair in a ponytail. I get labled Racist just because I don't act 'black'. I don't listen to the type of music I'm 'supposed' to. Or I don't 'talk' how I should. Everyone gets labled (goths, emo, punk, prep, etc) and if you try to be unique and not follow any crowd then people call you 'weird' or 'fake' or a 'poser'.
Why do you think that is? Is it that no one is brave enough to be an individual and always has to follow something to fit in somewhere?

lol, agree!! I'm 15, and I dont have a bf yet, and everyone thinks there's something wrong with me! I dress the way I want, act the way I want, and dont really "fit in" anywhere. Good luck, dont feel like your alone, cause I know EXACTLY what you're going through.

Even if somebody is goth, hippie, punk, prep or whatever they are still humans and they may dress alike and have a lot of the same tastes, but they still don't have everything in common. So no matter how much people say that so-and-so group is all the same, or some people all try to be the same, they will still be different, albeit perhaps on the inside.

i've got continually hated them. regrettably, some stereotypes relating particular communities of human beings have some (no longer as in every person interior the gang is precisely like that, yet that some individuals are and supply it a bad call) reality. I definitely don't be responsive to what i could be categorised as, i might say weirdo lol.

Everyone fits a label, though people are often labelled wrongly, including yourself if you are telling the truth. You are the stereotypical type of person that hates labels and sterotypes; there are many of such people.

That's it exactly!!! People often feel they have to point out obvious differences to make themselves appear better.I think it is because for every action there is a reaction, for every negative a positive, and for every good there is a bad.Neither of which could exist without the other.

Stereotypes don't just materialize out of thin air. They often may be the exception rather than the rule but they are firmly rooted in fact and are not always bad.

Once you get out of school this will mostly be done with. Labels are ubiquitious. That is how we make sense of our world from birth. People are just scared and trying to make sense of their lives and how other people fit in it. Please be unique! You will be glad about it later. All those losers who 'fit in' in school will remember YOU and not even know who they went to prom with or dated for 4years.

if we did not have labels we would not know who was who. take all the labels off all the caned food in you house. than try cooking dinner. might be fun, once but than you will keep the labels on.
