may be the Indian way of feeling inferior helps the others to actually look upon and look up to the Indians' own self esteem. If you were to even think of these questions after so many years, that only shows how inferior you may be feeling. that is the pity of Indians, and India. Remember, the eye matches its sight on the object. If it is found equal, the eyes look straight, if it is found only at the low level all the time, you cant blame the eye for looking down at the object. It is high time that you stopped thinking in those terms and stop spreading the idea that is wishfully forgotten and is not in the purview of many present generation living beings.

There is wide cultural difference between Indians and English people. Society in India would respect elders and woman. So people who grown up with these attitudes inside have bit inferiority in front of elders and women. This inferiority is positive to society.
If English guys think they are high as their skin is white, then Indians would also think they are high as their race is aryan and ancient.
I should pose a question now ,
Why Indians look British and English guys as poor cultureless, lazy, drunkards, moody, racist?

People bring up a lot of good points. I think the fact that they still have the caste system in India does point out inequality within India itself. I didn't know Brits looked down on Indians but the fact that India was once a colony could have something to do with it. They're not too crazy about us Yanks either! Let's face it, once you've been rulers of the world and have fallen quite a bit in "rank" could make them bitter but most of the English folks I have met are pretty cool with everyone. :)

May be Guy who asked this question thinks English guys look Indians as inferior, but Indians are not in real. Dance they would do , no one in English people can do it. Most of English guys are living just one phase of life. These Indians adopted all cultures and live life in full. They have beautiful girls and handsome guys. They naturally don't have feeling of racism or inferiority between different skin colors of persons in them. They love gold and money.
Most of them try to follow western world and go back again to their world looking no much life in western countries to live.
They are adventourous and found around the globe. It is known fact that these Indians occupied all technology jobs in the world. Who else could be there who is both modern and traditional?
Well I will say English guys, atleast who can think properly, are more jealous of these Indians.

The ones that do? Why do they look upon the whole earth besides good well-bred English men as inferior? I'm puzzled as well because they have "ruled the earth" for hundreds of years. Much to clinging-to-the-past glories.

because the smartest Indians are doing jobs that the west's uneducated people were doing before it started getting outsourced. In America, call center jobs went to people who never went to college. In India, those same jobs are going to the well-educated college grads, and they're doing it for alot less. That's why they're inferior. Now, I need some help with my credit card statement.

Snobbery has long been an inbred trait. The English don't just look down their noses at Indians; they look down their noses at Irish, Scots, Whelks, Aussies, Yanks and Canucks. I would hate to be one of those poor blokes without any colonial ties to the queen.

Not all British people think Indians are inferior.
English people, however, see people who don't know that England is in Britain as being uneducated.
