# people of lower socioeconomic strata tend to speak more loudly even at rest from chronicaly being forced to assert themselves if they want to get even the simplest rights of respect etc.
# stupidity(like when you are drunk) leads to disinhibition which is associated with loud voice
# i seriously question their femininity.
# this is not racist at all, it must be acknowledged that every race has certain traits, making generalizations of good/bad genre is racist .
i never mentioned anything about good or bad.

Your responses interestingly convey a lot about who you are as a person. Some of you should view your responses for a personal assessment.

I have noticed that when people are having a good time, noise often occurs. The more exciting the occasion the louder the noise.

When speaking excitedly, I have been cautioned to lower my voice in group settings, especially if it is a subject about which I am passionate. Often I was surprised by the comment, because I was unaware I was loud. Generally I was trying to be heard before the other person or while some other group member was speaking in concert. There was no intentional offense intended by any of the excited participants in the conversation. We were dynamically able to processs more rather than less information. The proclivity to be noisy as your emotional excitement increases is not owned exclusively by African American Ladies.

Maybe you are more aware of them because when they congregate together the loudness is the result of a collective chorus of Beauty and a natural celebration of life, which for you is overwhelming.

Because we African Americans have a hard ti,e getting heard and to speak loudly is just a way to insure that we are.Although I do know some African American people who hapen to be very soft spoken.Which gets on my nerves.I mean if you have something to say,say it so you can be heard!!!To do otherwise hints that there may be a lack of confidence, which by the way doesn't seem to be a problem among African Americans. If you haven't guessed it by now,I am offended by the stereo-type.

I have no idea but I agree with you 110%! African American girls do tend to be the loudest of the loud. They can be fine alone, but get a few together and look out. They start talking all ghetto and wanting to fight everybody. I honestly can't stand their actions.

Once upon a time I was in a Virgin record store and a punk rock song began to play. These two girls began to run up and down the aisle; they were yelling and gyrating. They were also doing "air guitar" moves. They did this to the utter astonishment of the other patrons. Guess what was the ethnicity of these two girls? Ding, ding, ding. You guessed it--they were white! The moral of the story is rude people come in all ethnicities. When will you people learn this?

I think rather than stereotyping this attribute to African-American women you should look at the weight of these loud women. To me, the loud ones always seem to be overweight.

Apparently you've not spent any time around Mexican girls when they are trying to attract the attention of a boy.
