Assuming that I could control the actions of the 3rd one.....hell yes!

It wouldn't matter if I would want to keep them, it would matter if my parents wanted me to keep them. Babies don't decide if they have surgery or not.

I would think the parents would amputate, because having 3 arms is just asking to be ridiculed and stared at as a freak show for your entire life. But it depends on the parents - some wouldn't amputate because they'd think it'd be cool to have a kid with 3 arms and could use it to get money (freak show!!!) - those are the type of people who shouldn't have children, by the way.

As a mom (as a person!), there are times I need a few extra arms, but I don't think I would want to keep an extra limb if I were born with it. It would be almost impossible to buy clothes, and people would always be giving odd looks. You would never be "John Doe", you'd always be "that weird guy with the extra arm."

Elementary school is hard enough without another reason to be picked on. I'd rather fit in.

Incidentally, the baby with three arms in the news doesn't have three working arms.

I think that if people werent so cruel, I would totally keep it because lord only knows how many times I had wished I had another arm/hand... But people ecspecially children are so mean that it wouldnt be worth all the pain they would inflict on me... It is kind of like a double edged sword...

That baby probably wouldn't know that something was different about him except he was getting so much attention. But, from the social perspective, the arm should be removed to keep him from being a "freak".

This topic has become a mute point, because the child had the surgery to have the third arm removed already.

To answer this question I would say off with the arm.

No! Would you date a girl w/ 3 arms?

It depends... does everyone else have three arms? If not, then I wouldn't want it.

Although a third functional arm can come in handy sometimes -- talk about being able to multi-task at work.
