Why do you want to change? Question your motivation to change. Is it because you want to change someone else's impression of you? If so, thats a lame reason.
Wearing your heart on your sleeve suggests your easy to win over. If you decide to change, heres my suggestion. Anytime anything or anyone comes into your life, follow this exercise. Sit down and think what and where you want to be in 5 years or 10 years. Then think of that person or thing, and if it isn't part of the 5 year plan, its simply a diversion.
Its probably not acceptable to say 'don't spend any time on diversions', because we all need them and want them. Instead, limit the time you spend on your diversions.

That bascially means that you're an open book. People can read your emotions. Just try to stay a bit more aloof. Wearing your heart on your sleeve is not necessarily a bad thing.

So wear your heart on your sleeve. I do!
While it may make us more vulnerable, it also lets others know what a big heart we truly have.
It leaves us open to love and loving. And there is nothing in the world that is wrong with that....smile
Just be fussy who you wear your heart for. Then let it all hang out!

*takes Dee's heart and 'transplants' it to a safe place*
I know you. You'll end up giving someone the shirt off your back only to realize you literally put your 'heart' into everything you do.
And then *sighs*, once it is gone, I would be forced to make you sing:
♪Just to register emotion, jealousy, devotion
And really feel the part
I could stay young and chipper
And I'd lock it with a zipper
If I only had a heart ♪

What does that mean? It's cute, though.
Probably related to a English/French old Valentines Eve practice of drawing a girls name from a box. The male agreed to protect the girl for a year. He wore her name in that year on his sleeve.

i think the local seamstress might be able to help you or you could even do so on your own. buy a cute applique at the local craft and fabric store and cover it up. or have the seamstress conceal it by adding a striking pocket! very stylish and can be used to put your cell phone in when your hands are tied. - a gal with her heart on her sleeve too!

It means that you don't keep your feelings inside. Everyone knows exactly how you're feeling about everyone. Sometimes that is not good. You can get it altered at the toughen up department of Heartbreak Hotel.

Learn to be strong. Dont be a ***** but dont be naive either. Alter it now before you end up getting hurt more and more. More bad experiences will just turn you numb then you will lose who you are.

Hollywood, the city of broken dreams. Everything is fake here, even the city of Hollywood (it's actually a neighborhood of L.A.). If this place can't break your heart, then you're an amazing Pollyanna!
