There is no train from Mexico to Panama. You can take a buses from Mexico to all other countries in Central America (appr0x.US$150) and then from Costa Rica to Panama (US$50). Tica Bus and Panaline are two good options for this last leg San Jose-Panama City, if you don't want to depend on local partial routes.
About safety, you need to be careful in three areas: very Southern Mexico, rural El Salvador and Managua; but never let your guard down.
Take your time, visit smaller cities and not just the capitals. This is an awesome trip!

I would suggest you try one of 2 things:

1. Take a bus. I know for a fact there are buses from Mexico to Costa Rica, and they go through Panama. The trip takes about 3 days and is $150. The hassel is finding out if you need visas for each country.

2. Find out about some sort of boat that goes through the canal. That would be awesome.

Javier went for the improper ball haha. one million. The mexican avid gamers deserve a high-quality three out of 10. They performed higher than Panama however they had been worried with the combating and many others and so they would handiest control a tie, pathetic. Panama will get a one million/10 two. The recreation as a complete will get a three/10. What a waste of my time. Instead of seeing the game I love, I was once looking a type of wwf royal rumbles. You certainly not see this with groups like brazil. They play fantastically, this was once simply sh!t, diarrhea. three. What was once Javier pondering? He could have certainly not performed this in europe. But in Concacaf I bet folks do not care. Concacaf is the "ghetto" aspect of Fifa. Full of dull groups that like to get into fights and suck at gambling. And sadly Mexico loves to get worried.

Even if there were a train I would not reccomend taking one. The bus system in Latin America is way more efficent than it is in the US.
