I think it's fine. I agree with everyone above who said the doctor knows best and that he's just experimenting with his body. He's just getting his motorskills!

You should read a book called Do Blue Bedsheets Bring Babies?

It's about wives tales. This will help you get over your fear that popping knuckles causes arthritis and that crossing your eyes makes them stay that way. Which are similar to your current fear... (Basically the book debunks wives tales)

I don't think you have anything at all to worry about.

Good Luck!

He's just learning how his body works. All three of my kids did weird stuff when they were babies. One of them would stick his leg straight up, and hold it there for 20 or 30 minutes at a time.
Babies just do odd things as they are growing and learning how to control their bodies, as long as the doctor says things are fine, don't worry about it.

My baby girl does that. Shes' almost 8 months old and she looks like she's being shy. It looks like she is shrugging her shoulders and leaning her head to the side. Is that what yours does? I was going to ask her doctor at the next appointment. If your doctor said he is fine then he probably is!

It sounds like you mean he cranes his head around when he is lying down to look at what's behind him. If this is what he is doing, then it is perfectly normal. I have seven younger siblings, and every one of them did that when they were a baby. They are trying new things out, looking at something, etc. So don't worry, there is nothing wrong with your son. Cheers!

He has a weak neck. Be sure to support his head in your palms until it grows stronger.

If the docs say its fine, then don't take any advice from us!!

Sounds like he's just growing and experimenting.
