The consortium of newspapers who conducted an independent re-count of Florida votes following the 2000 election declared that Gore won the entire state of Florida no matter what standard was used to count the votes, but the NY Times and Washington Post and other media played it down because it was a month after the twin towers fell and they didn't want to undermine bush.
If Gore were president the attack of september 11 would never have happened because he already knew about the attackers. Clinton had already thwarted several Al Quaeda terrorist attacks like the L.A. airport in 2000 (millenium attack), Lincoln tunnel, Holland tunnel, pope attack, and it was Gore who spearheaded legislation to secure airplanes and airports, but the airline industry didn't want to pay the dough. Clinton/Gore left the country with a $230 Billion Surplus that Bush squandered on a war he totally lied about.
Right now, thanks to the un-elected Bush, we have a $8.4 trillion deficit. Who do you think is paying for Bush's spending spree where he's giving away billions to his cronies the oil and defense contractors. We, the taxpayers are getting screwed. Get with it folks. READ! and listen to something other than mainstream media who are owned by the very corporations that donate to bush's campaigns (like Enron) and serve as his propaganda machines. Gore is the best choice.

I'd vote for Al Gore in a heartbeat. Think back to the year 2001 and the missed PDB that foretold of an attack using airliners on America soil. A President Gore, who routinely participated in intelligence briefings while VP does NOT miss that PDB and follows up on it. Face it, with a President Gore in place in 2001, there may not have been a 9-11 attack.

Think back to the Hurricane(s) that struck the Gulf Coast last year. Private Citizen Al Gore hired airplanes and flew down to Louisiana to assist evacuating patients in hospitals. We all saw what President Bush did (didn't do). And the number one problem cited by responders both during 9-11 and during and after the hurricanes was COMMUNICATIONS. Seems that's just one area of expertise that a President Gore would have brought with him into Office and with that expertise may have been helpful in eliminating COMMUNICATIONS from being the number one problem during those disasters.

A President Gore would not have had to lie to America to pass a reformed Medicare package as President Bush had to do. A President Gore would be more in touch with the US Military having served in a Combat Zone himself, a President Gore would not have allowed the energy companies to write this Nations energy policy so that they could give us $3 gas and get record profits.

A President Gore would work to develop and foster respect among other world leaders and those Nations inhabitants and a President Gore would have kept this Nation as the leading protector of human and civil rights instead of the leading violator.

I could go on and on and on about the virtues of a President Gore and how much better it would have been than this President Bush but you can't change history. Were Private Citizen Al Gore to run for President in 2008 there is little doubt he would be elected in an overwhelming fashion.

Bush ended privateness rights with the patriot act. Obama keeps the abuse of privateness rights with the patriot act and he ended the main suitable suited to atrial with the NDAA. Bush Afghanistan and Iraq. Obama Afghanistan, Iraq (US nevertheless has 16000 mercs working in Iraq), Pakistan, sending help to terrorists in Libya and Syria to over throw those governments, Yemen, Somalia, Obama is the drone conflict president. As undesirable as Bush replaced into i'd could bypass with Bush because of the fact the lesser of two evils however the lesser of two evils remains evil.

Hmmmmm... listening to a blithering moron and accepting the fact that after people heard him speak- he was reelected, -OR- trying to stay awake listening to the most boring guy in the universe. It's a pretty tough call. You can never go on "what if's" but you can look at people's behaviors and personalities to try and determine what they would have done otherwise. I think with a, what 26% approval rating, people would definately be rethinking some issues.
