I've had rough stuff happen, but I'm happy and think I ultimately will be no matter what comes my way. positive thinking is the only way to overcome some of the crap that gets thrown at you in this zoo. people will always try to beat you down, physically or mentally, you just gotta wait til they're done and then get up for the next one. You'll come out on top.

My dad graduated from there, and I am also an alumnus. I battled drug and alcohol addiction, was a single mother at 18, later survived an abusive marriage and I'm still here. I don't regret a bit of it as I learned much, and it has given me strength of character today. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

I had a abusive childhood and an alcoholic first husband. What helps me survive is to always have a goal. The goal may change, but you have to have something to keep you looking forward.

I did not but i have spoken and more importantly LISTENED to many who did. Their one piece of advice was this-
Always, ALWAYS, remember whats important to you and appreciate the tiny goodnesses even in you dark life. That way there's always a way out if you want it.

I had a horrible childhood, I'm still looking for a way to be ok with letting it go, even though I am aware that my opportunity for revenge has been beaten by chance......Still looking over my shoulder......
