The group of metalic elements that we see in the center of the periodic table is called "transition metals".

Now, do we have a name to describe the rest of the elements as a whole at all ?

They can be called main group elements which doesn't include the transition metals or the lanthanides.

I am not aware of any collective name (other than perhaps "non transition metals") to describe the group of elements which are not transition metals.

The first period of metals on the periodic table are referred to as "alkali metals", the 2nd, "alkaline Earth metals", then of course you have your "transition metals", followed by the "metalloids", and "non metals" which include within them the "Halogens", and "Nobel gasses".
