Take some time off. Think about what you always wanted to do with your life.

Well, you are not giving too many information there; the only thing that I can say is the fact that you like change. This means that a job that allows you to travel around the world might be suitable for you. Think about it; there are many companies seeking for people without committments to do that kind of job. Perhaps, you could be something like an educator to future salespersons. What do you think? Is it challenging enough? Whatever you decide, think carefully; it will be a big step in your life! And, don't forget; never accept something less that you hope for!

Nothing will both make good money and keep you happy. I'd settle for the money, and then just be happy on the side as a hobby. There's lots of things you can do that pay pretty well as an independant contractor (working for yourself for other people on a job by job basis). What're you best at? Do you enjoy writing? Building? Dog walking or grooming? Insurance fraud? There's lots of opportunities, depending on what you don't mind doing...

One option could be to go into business for yourself -- is that something that's interested you?

The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you're interested in.

I recommend checking out the SBA, Entrepreneur, The Start Up Journal & Nolo. All 4 are great informational resources for the new/small business owner. I posted links for you in the source box.

Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* How to Really Start Your Own Business, Fourth Edition by David E. Gumpert
* How to Really Create a Successful Business Plan: Step-by-Step Guide by David E. Gumpert
* What No One Ever Tells You about Starting Your Own Business: Real-Life Start-Up Advice from 101 Successful Entrepreneurs (What No One Ever Tells You About Starting Your Own Business) by Jan Norman
* Business Start-Up Kit by Steven D. Strauss
* Start Your Own Business (Entrepreneur Magazine's Start Up) by Rieva Lesonsky

There are plenty of free informational resources out there. Check the source box for links to articles.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

Get your resume together. post it on the career sites like monster, careerbuilders, hotjobs, etc. While you're waiting for a job offer, do some self examination and find out why you're unhappy with your current situation so you don't fall into that trap again. I had to find out the hard way that I am not a salesman, but I love travel. Every career has its good points and bad points. You won't know if you can swim until you get your feet wet.

it depends on your grades in high school and if you went to college or not. bigger cities always have an array of different jobs to offer. you should scout out for jobs where you live and get help from friends and family. if you cant find anything you are interested in scout out different cities but dont quit your current job. you want to find a better job, know that your getting it, then you can quit.

Do you have any hobbies that you enjoy??? Do some research, look for something that you will love to do, not just view as a job. Go back to school...do some soul searching!

If you find it, will you please email me? I'm 34 and spend every day right here on Yahoo! Answers at my job. Why? Because it distracts me from realizing that I'm sitting in a cubicle, wasting my life away, one agonizing hour at a time under life-sucking florescent lighting, all the while working under a boss who can barely remember his own name, much less his own job.

that would all depend on what you enjoy doing. think about what you'd be willing to do even if there was no pay and pursue that (for pay of course). be mindful that the thing that gives you utmost satisfaction may not be a high-paying gig! tradeoffs...
